Words Cannot Express Hummus I Love You

Me and Sam can eat hummus with pretty much anything... it is not wrong to assume that we have developed a slight addiction to the delicious dip. The beauty of hummus is that you can make it in so many different ways, which kind of prevents you from getting bored of it (in our opinion please tell us that we are not alone!). Currently, our favourite type of hummus is spicy beet root so here's a quick recipe for it. 

Beet Hummus Recipe

What you need:

  • 1 Cup Sprouted Chickpeas

  • 1 Large Roasted Beet

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Olive Oil

  • Juice of 1 Lemon

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Tahini

  • 1/4 Cup Distilled Water

  • 1 Tsp Paprika

  • Pink Salt and Black Pepper to taste

What you do:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees

  2. Rinse and chop the beet into small cubes

  3. Toss in olive oil and roast for 15 minutes (or until soft)

  4. Once soft, blend in a food processor

  5. Add in chickpeas, olive oil, lemon juice, and water and blend

  6. Blend in tahini,paprika, and salt and pepper

  7. Scoop into a coconut bowl

  8. Top with some greens

  9. Serve with raw crackers, roasted or raw veggies, or spread it on some bread!
