My Low Waste, Vegan, and Non Toxic Makeup Routine

Hello my lovely friends! I’m going to talk about something today that is so exciting and something that I am so passionate about!

Clean plant-based makeup that is low waste! I’m not a big makeup girl, but I am very passionate about utilizing products that are good for the planet, animals, and you! And I have finally found a bunch of products that work for my skin. have wonderful ingredients, are not tested on animals or utilize animal byproducts. They are also plastic free, biodegradable, re-usable, and refillable. They kind of tick all the boxes when it comes to my values and needs.

Okie… let’s get to know the goods that make my Non Toxic, Vegan, and Clean Makeup Routine Possible:

Elate Cosmetics. Sappho Organics. Dalish.

Step 1: Concealer by Elate Cosmetics

Elate’s Creme Revealer is absolutely amazing. I love it for so many reasons, but one of the main reasons why is because this product is refillable. I cannot tell you how many concealer sticks or jars I have thrown out in the past. The compact that holds this concealer is made from bamboo, which is naturally biodegradable over time, naturally anti-bacterial, and long lasting. The ingredients that make up this concealer are very simple, clean, and non poor clogging, which minimizes the risks of breakouts and allergic reactions. I use the shade CW2.

    • Good coverage

    • Canadian

Step 2: Refresh Foundation by Elate Cosmetics

The Refresh Foundation by Elate is the perfect option for those who do not like full coverage, but want something to even out your complexion and cover some minor imperfections. The ingredients within this foundation are so lovely. This foundation includes sunflower seed oil, hyaluronic acid, and bamboo bark. For this reason, it is really hydrating, calming, and it will not clog your pores! It is also packaged in glass and will soon be available for refill. I use the shade RW3.

Step 3: Brow Pomade by Sappho New Paradigm

I love this brow balm because most natural balms contain beeswax or fall off throughout the day. This is the best brow balm that I have tried and it uses Carnauba Wax! Along with being Canadian and houses in a cute little glass pot that you will want to re-use it for something else.

    • Vegan

    • Great texture that holds the brows together!

Step 4: Mascara by Elate Cosmetics

Okie. This mascara literally ticks of all of the boxes. It’s vegan (which is actually really hard to find within the natural market), it is packaged in bamboo (it is so incredibly difficult to find a mascara not in plastic), it is effective, and they provide you with a solution for the plastic wand problem. You can actually wash, snap the wand off, and then send it to an organization that utilizes the wands to clean the hairs of small rescued animals.

    • Lengthening and volumizing

    • Clean ingredients

Step 5: Lip to Cheek by Da’lish

I am all for multi products because they reduce waste and the amount of products that I need to have (which is lovely because I try and be as minimal as possible). Da’lish lip to cheeks can be used as a lipstick and as a blush. This Canadian company has always been organic, but they just recently removed beeswax from their products. Their lip two cheeks are houses in cute little glass pots which you will definitely love to re-use! They are awesome for travel.
