My Vegan Day with @LMHALLMAN

We asked our friend Lauren from @LMHALLMAN to share with us what she eats in a day. Lauren is a food blogger + photographer, vegan recipe developer, producer, and more importantly, a lovely mother to her son. Lauren follows a wholesome balanced diet to nourish her body, mind, and soul.  If you are interested in nourishing yourself with whole foods and eating mindfully, check out what Lauren eats in a day &  her page

Breakfast:

I start each day with a litre of lemon water followed by 1 or more whole pieces of raw fruit. I strive to balance my intake of Omega-3 and Omega-6 to avoid unnecessary inflammation in my body so next, I take 1 tsp of algae oil and 5-10g of chlorella. Next comes breakfast in the form my daily oatmeal. I try to make this fun and often dress it up, but at its core, it is the same every day. Oats, milled flax seeds, cinnamon, and mixed berries. Nut butter and chocolate are a favourite addition to the meal.

For lunch, I stick with a salad, buddha bowl or high raw meal such as nicecream or a smoothie.  I love to add in fermented foods where possible, and my salads often end up being piled high with them. Like today for example, plenty of fermented goods and lots of sprouts. Your gut will thank you!

Snack:

In the afternoon I snack on raw vegetables or chia puddings for me and my son. Today I had a maple chia pudding, topped with nicecream, and blueberries.

For dinner, I try to balance my plate between vegetables and a starch such as potatoes or rice. This can take the form of a curry, noodle bowl or mashed potatoes. Really the options are endless. Today, I opted for a curry with basmati rice. Topped with avocado, tomatoes, and cilantro.
