Maple and Garlic Chickpea Burger Recipe

Burger Ingredients:

  • 398 ml Can of Chickpeas

  • 1 Cup Cooked Quinoa

  • 1 Cup Sprouted Spelt Bread Crumbs

  • 4 Crushed Garlic Cloves

  • 1/2 Chopped Yellow Onion

  • 1/3 Tbsp Organic Siracha

  • 1 Tsp Smoked Paprika

  • 1/2 Tsp Cumin

  • 1/4 Tsp Cayenne

  • 1 Tbsp Raw Maple Syrup

  • Salt and Black Pepper to taste

  • 1/2 Tbsp Olive Oil

Beet Hummus Ingredients:

  • 398 ml Can of Chickpeas

  • 1/2 Cup of Beets

  • Juice of 1 Lemon

  • 2 Cloves Garlic

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Olive Oil

  • 2 Tbsp Tahini

  • 2 Tsp Tamari

  • 1/2 Tsp Paprika

  • Salt to taste

Burger Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees

  2. Grease a baking sheet.

  3. Rinse and drain chickpeas.

  4. In a small pan, caramelize onions and garlic in olive oil.

  5. Prepare the quinoa.

  6. Blend the chickpeas in a food processor.

  7. Add in quinoa and blend.

  8. Add in all other ingredients (excluding bread crumbs) and blend.

  9. Blend in 3/4 cup of breadcrumbs.

  10. Transfer mix to a mixing bowl.

  11. Mix well with hands.

  12. Form four burgers using 1/3 cup of mixture.

  13. Coat with the remaining breadcrumbs & additional sauce (if you'd like)

  14. Bake for 22 minutes. Flipping once.

Hummus Ingredients:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 Degrees.

  2. Grease a baking sheet.

  3. Rinse, chop, and peel beets.

  4. Lightly toss beets in 1/2 tbsp olive oil.

  5. Cook beets for 20 minutes for until soft.

  6. Blend beets in a food processor.

  7. Add all other ingredients and blend.

  8. Enjoy
